The Dell D600 series of computers is not their finest hour. This particular configuration has everything it needs to be an Internet machine. You can pick one of these up relatively cheap and it's a decent machine for Internet surfing at the local coffee shop. You'll find that the laptop is very lightweight and can be easily carried about.

The D600 series of laptops experienced some negative comments from users who were disappointed in the quality of the machine. This computer is great for the light user who just wants to do a little web surfing and some simple work. With the problems that it has experienced it is not recommended for those who are going to need their laptop for heavy document use.

It would also be useful for business users who will only need their laptop for some email exchange and relatively little document work on the road. It's wi-fi capabilities make it ideal for communications while traveling. If you work on your computer a great deal this is great for traveling while you work. You will be able to connect virtually anywhere there is a hot spot.

For those who plan to use their laptop for more extensive use, this is not the ideal computer. It is not meant to be used heavily. The consensus opinion on this machine is that it is of a bit lower quality than you would expect from Dell. The keyboard in particular is not well made and has given users a great many problems.
